  • Coworking FAQs

    Is there a dress code?

     

    This is your office, so it's your dress code! Some members wear business attire, others run in in their workout clothes. It's up to you.

     

    What about pets and kids?

     

    Our offices are pet-free. There are not many spaces or activities for kiddos. A lot of members are working moms though - so we understand needing to have a tagalong to stop and grab something, or to do a quick work session. And, we've got an annual "bring your kiddo to the office" day!

     

    Can I get mail or phone calls at the office?

     

    Your full lease includes the use of our address as your business address and a phone number and extension that will forward to any phone number you provide.

     

    With all the members in one space, is it noisy?

     

    It's not a silent space, but it is significantly quieter than working at a coffee shop. Most members bring headphones and respect when others need "alone time". We do have plenty of spaces in the Friends and Family Room and Kitchen to hang and chat.

     

    What is your guest policy?

     

    Guests are allowed for meetings, tours, etc. Some locations do offer Day Pass Memberships if you have a friend that wants to work with you for a full day.

     

    Can I hold meetings at the office?

     

    Yes, definitely!!! Our spaces provide you with a professional meeting space (again, more private than a coffee shop!). You can use the shared spaces or book one of the conference room(s). Conference room use is booked via a shared calendar on a first come first serve basis and is included in membership.

     

    Do you rent your conference rooms?

     

    We are open to conference room rentals for local company needs that match our mission of supporting female entrepreneurship. Email hello@aughtentrepreneurs.com to inquire.

     

    What if I don't need a full time desk?

     

    Some of our locations offer a Day Pass Membership - check out our locations for those that do! It comes with all of the community perks + a set # of day passes each month. So while you may not be able to get into an office multiple times a week, you still have the opportunity to schedule some work days.

     

    Do I have to clean?

     

    The offices are full service. We abide by the rules of Be Cool, Be Kind, Be Nice. So while the trash does get emptied weekly, all of our members participate in keeping the space picked up and inviting. Not required, but everyone does pitch in on refilling the printer when paper runs out, or filling the Keurig with water.

    So long as you're following those 3 rules, you're probably pretty good. We do have a handbook you'll receive upon joining, but most of that is entry procedures, etc.

     

    Tell me about the snacks and drinks

     

    We've got 'em! Each office has water and coffee, and a variety of snacks - granola bars, chips, cheesesticks. We try to keep member favorites stocked. West Knoxville has cornered the market on popcorn.

     

    Is there storage available?

     

    There are storage options at each office location. Availability varies depending on location.

     

    Can I decorate my desk area?

     

    Yes - it's your space, and we want you to love it! We do have some restrictions on how many nails you use, but as long as you're not damaging anything, you're welcome to decorate.

     

    What do I need to bring?

     

    Your computer, phone and chargers! As long as you bring your hardware, we can pretty well promise we've got anything else you need.

     

    What isn't included?

     

    We do not provide fax services, IT services or color printing.

     

    What are the office hours?

     

    The offices are available 24/7. Members have their own keys and codes and each has a multistep security entry.

    Female entrepreneurs who have already launched their businesses. We will have future programming for those who are pre-launch!

     

    Isn't everyone a coach these days??

     

    You will see "coaching" EVERYWHERE - but like everything else, we're redefining what that word means. The main goal is to serve women, defining their boundaries and definition of success (both personally and professionally)- and then work within those to make changes and adjustments as necessary to their businesses to allow them to maintain the JOY they started with!

     

    Who is the coach?


    Erika Biddix is the founder and CEO of two companies. She founded Biddix Meetings + Events, a full service planning and logistics company. When the pandemic began, she feared the company would not survive the impact on the hospitality industry. Instead, she has grown it into a seven-figure company.

     

    In 2019, looking for office space for BME, through a series of fortunate events (read more here), she founded what was initially known as Girl Boss Offices, a coworking community for female entrepreneurs. As the company impacted their members, they also recognized that they were impacting their city, their community and beyond. They rebranded as Aught in mid-2021, a company on a mission to change lives and local communities through female entrepreneurship.

     

    Erika is often referred to as aggressively helpful, a community cultivator, and a cheerleader for all women. As she walks the journey of female entrepreneurship herself, she's excited about the opportunity to help others along the way

     

    Do I have to live in Knoxville, TN?

     

    Nope! We are excited to be launching programming for female entrepreneurs EVERYWHERE!!

     

    What if I want more Aught content than coaching?

     

    Good news - between our coworking offices, virtual events, free Facebook group and more - we can get a lot of Aught in your life!

    Who is this for?

     

    Female entrepreneurs who have already launched their businesses. We will have future programming for those who are pre-launch!

     

    Is this like every other retreat?

    The short answer - NO! These are 2 days dedicated to getting your to do list shortened, your email inbox emptied, your head clear and your boundaries set. Women will go home with lighter shoulders, smaller to do lists and a framework to use as they move their business forward.

     

    Do I have to live in Knoxville, TN?

     

    Nope! We are excited to be launching programming for female entrepreneurs EVERYWHERE!! All group meetings will be held via Zoom. Honestly - we feel like a cohort made up of women from around the world works to the benefit of everyone!

    One winner will receive a FREE 3 month coworking lease at our Downtown Knoxville location.

     

    Do nominees have to live in Knoxville?

     

    The coaching package does not have a location requirement - the sessions are held virtually via Zoom - so the winner can be located anywhere!

     

    The coworking lease winner would likely get the most benefit if they reside in Knoxville.

  • Workshop Rental FAQs

    Available at limited locations

    What are the rules for workshop rentals?

    • Weekdays – setup beginning at 4pm, workshop can begin at 6pm, must conclude by 10pm
    • Weekends – setup beginning at 9am, workshops must conclude by 8pm
    • Workshop time is up to 5 hours, to include setup and cleanup
    • Workshop host is responsible for returning space as they found it – ie. wiping down counters and throwing away garbage
    • Host and/or attendees responsible for own parking

    What are the costs for workshop rentals?

    Pricing by Membership Type - Downtown Knoxville
